PHTCC Notes

  • During the provincial response to COVID-19, the Manitoba government may issue public health orders or orders under the state of emergency to protect the health and safety of all Manitobans. These orders may have impacts to business areas. The public health orders in place or any future orders can be found on the provincial website at

  • Pool and hot tub retail and wholesale businesses are not listed on the schedule issued with public health orders. Therefore, pool and hot tub retail and wholesale businesses must ensure that their place of business is closed to the public between April 1 and April 14 (Order 3). However a business not included on the schedule may continue to provide goods by delivery or pick-up that have been ordered online or by telephone (Order 3(3) and Order 3(4).

  • Pool and hot tub businesses can provide maintenance services, including urgent repair to maintain the safety, security, sanitation  and essential operation of institutional, residential, commercial and industrial properties including custodial or janitorial services and cleaning services (Schedule 9 (c)). Additionally, pool and hot tub projects that have commenced can be completed if it is necessary to maintain the safety of the institutional, residential, commercial or industrial property.
