PHTCC Notes
-
It is not clear from the list provided whether or not Pool and Spa businesses fall into the category of "Essential" in Newfoundland. We welcome you to edit the lobby letter below and send it to the government official for your area listed in the excel document.
-
It is noted in the document above that "non-retail businesses can stay open as long as workers can maintain physical distancing"
-
The PHTCC is urging all in the Pool & Spa Industry to follow these public health guidelines and take a leadership role in significantly curtailing or shutting down non-essential operations for the next two (2) weeks.
-
Let's not rush into builds because of an early spring. We have had late starts before.
-
Pool & Hot Tub companies that remain open should have as their top priority the health and safety of all employees and customers. Any work undertaken should be primarily focused on proper pool & hot tub “maintenance” as it pertains to the prevention of additional infectious diseases through un-sanitized and non-operable pools.
-
Recognizing that each company must make its own operating decisions, the PHTCC recommends that companies should NOT be starting new build projects during the minimum 14-day period commencing on Tuesday, March 24 at 11:59 pm.”
-
Pool & Hot Tub companies that remain open must take extraordinary measures to protect employees, customers, and the general public.
